Traveling to Chincoteague with my family next week and want to take our boat along for some family fun.  Plan to fish and crab a few mornings/late afternoons weather permitting.

As an individual I have both a Chesapeake Bay sportfishing license and a Maryland sport crabbing license.

My boat has both the sticker for the fishing boat license and crabbing boat license so that anyone who fishes/crabs in my boat is covered from a licensing perspective.  Are the Chesapeake Bay boat licensing elements for fishing & crabbing reciprocal in Virginia Eastern Shore waters?

I plan to run a 300' trot line along with 2 commercial crab pots.  It will be my first time trot-lining in Va. waters.  Do I need a Va. crabbing license to run a trotline ($10 license?)?  Are my Md. DNRid numbers written on my trotline bouys enough for Va. waters?

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Yes and Yes.  However, anyone fishing that does not have a fishing license must have a FIP. -> https://www.mrc.virginia.gov/fip/
