Still slow in wareham 7/4

Slow going on the 4th.. 5 traps, 2 hours, 8 barely legal keepers. Lots of bait around, I think all the crabs have full bellies and are not tempted by my chicken legs....that and the amount of rain we have had the past 2 weeks... I have some sad kids thinking grandpa has lost his fastball....

So far a disappointing year ,with the mild winter we had ,I thought there would be big boys around right away

I'm giving it a go tomorrow, will report back. Does rain help or hurt the crabbing?

Crabbed at an UDL on the Southcoast of MA. Caught 5 big Jimmies and one big Sook. Missed a handful of others with my dip net. Not bad for my first outing of the year
