Slowhand

7/14 laid 1200' of mixed necks and clams at legal time.  Slow but steady throughout the AM.  Anything under 6" and lights went back.  Caught one female and at least 2 dozen+ under 6".  Had a guy in a 24' parker put traps 20' from my line, so I went over to ask him to move them out as for he kept riding over my line to get to his traps...  As soon as I got to him he got one of his traps wrapped up in his prop...  He said as soon as he gets it free he'll move.  I started my loop back and saw he was grabbing his traps and when he turn he ran right over my float for my line...  Boy I was fired up!  All that river and hit a float...?  Unbelievable!!  At least he didn't get wrapped up or cut the line...  Had to tighten the line back up...  Still ended up with a bent lid basket.

7/15 laid 1200' of 2nd day mixed necks and clams at legal time.  Slower than the day before, but the quality was unreal.  Was just a few shy of a lid bender basket and had only 42 crabs in it...  These things were monsters.  Don't think I kept a crab under 7".  Had well over a dozen of 8"+.  Since it was slow figured I'd try for Rockfish being it was the last day till August...  Landed 5 and kept a 22".  Put a slab on foil with butter, garlic and old bay and steamed it with the crabs.  Good eats there!

Be safe out there!

Wahoo

Since someone ate crabs, others must have eaten spiders as well.  However, they were not tasty.
So afterwards, people stopped eating them.   These people deserve our heartfelt gratitude  :)
