Got to the ramp at 515......one spot left in parking lot only due to the guys on either side making it tight so most were passing it up and heading up the Road to park
. ...started at legal time 1000 ft with necks .....1st run ...3 crabs and 2 needed to be measured.....2nd run 14 crabs and no measure needed ,.....saw a few females and about 8 small crabs on these runs ......had an incoming tide and I was in 8 to 10 ft .....2 crabs was the least amount on a run and we had another run with 10......we were bushelled out by 930......just a good morning ....it was cool out and just comfortable on the water ....still not alot of jelly fish in the water ......but they will be here in a couple weeks......also in the picture im posting my float is to the left it might look like he's far enough away but ill tell you he was about 50 ft from my float on that end ......I just dont get some people .....there is a whole river out there ans he lays on top of me .....hey i have my favorite spots and if i get there and someone is in there....I move to another location.....to bad for me I should have gotten there earlier .....but some dont care
All in all a great day ...... hopefully the crabs are here for a while good luck to everyone heading out soon

Nice looking crabs.  With a Wye report like that people will be parking in pa.and walking down

Nice catch!

I've never been to the Wye before...usually hit the Chester River and Langford Creek.  How's the parking there during the week, like on a Tuesday.  Can you give me a general direction to head to on that river?  Don't need GPS coordinates, just a general idea.  Thanks!

So when you get to ramp .........I went out to 2nd right.....went down about 200 yards and found 8 to 10 on the left hand side .........good luck.........

Buckkill

I was down last Saturday, and got a bushel of nice size crabs by 10. Most came out of 12-14 feet.

I don't have a ramp sticker, can I pay a launch fee at the ramp for th Wye River?

Blueclaw26

I don't know if they do a day pass or not .....I know you can by the ramp sticker for the yr there but the other I'm not sure about ......

Some of the places I crab people set up within 100 ft of my gear.  Have you ever crabbed Rocky Point?  You can walk across the floats.  It's part of crabbing there.  I just learned to accept it (in those particular places) over the years, because there was no changing the way people act.  Assuming the line attached to the float on the right in your picture is going the opposite way of your gear, it wouldn't frost me too much.  Now, if he was parallel to you along the shoreline with plenty of other open river lays available, we would have had a conversation.

Blueclaw . Thanks for the directions to location. I found the gps coordinates   . I never been on the wye . I crab western side of bay . Good luck and be careful out there

Blueclaw26

Yes he was parallel to my line .....and river everywhere ....for him to set in another location ....I don't care where you go or what you do in this world there are people out there that don't respect the situation......had my 81 yr old father in law with me so I didn't get into it with him but again that's what we have

Probably the same [arsehole] that dropped 25' from my giant float last Sunday at the Wye. We had a great day and filled our basket with some pretty heavy jimmies, but that clown just pissed me off completely. I have to be honest, that was the closest that I've ever come to launching a flare across someone's bow.

You usually do find them . I never crabed that river.  I stay on the western side mostly due to travel time .
