license needed or not?

i see in the regs if using handlines no license is needed.   what if using traps from a pier?   
i kayak with handlines in jersey so thats not a big deal,but i dont see any regs regarding crabbing from a pier like at perryville park.

You need a license for anything more than handlines and dipnets. The pots referenced in the screenshot are not the traps/rings, but the big hotel-style pots.
