Sunday morning Windward beach

The weathermen must have scared everyone away yesterday.Got to the Windward beach pier at 8    ;30 with 9 traps with chicken thighs.caught over 80 crabs ,most were small females. Left with 23 nice blue claws all cleaned by 11:00am. A guy fishing at the end of the pier thought he was snagged until his line started moving all over,he hooked into a cow nose ray i estimated to be over 80 lbs he fought it to the surface about 3 times after a half hour he broke off. The guy had 10lb braided line.He was too be to net,i told the guy he would have to walk him back to the beach to take pics.All in all a good day.
