We took the jon boat out to catch the incoming morning tide, and hopefully many blueclaws.  Conditions were perfect, just a slight breeze that kept most of the greenheads away. The crew consisted of myself, my son and my cousin. We crab using handlines (2 each) and bunker for bait.
About four hours later we headed home with 33 crabs, no monsters, but several rusty and heavy.
A great outing!
If it weren't for running in circles, I'd get nowhere.

Sunpal, the only way i crab on a kayak or boat are with handlines.33 crabs in 4 hours is 8 keepers an hourwith only 6 handlines, you have done good. Not to mention all the ones you threw back. good day with family .Families that crab together stay together, enjoy em.

Thanks for the comments.  The action was pretty constant, as soon as it slowed we moved to a new spot.  Keeping the bait fresh was a big factor in our success.  Here are two photos from the day.

That one crab looks like a 7"  blue gold. You know with a handline when a crab that size or a double that its big when it is tugging back as you are pulling it up.Then when you see him you get like a little kid all over again.Im sure you know what im sayin,
