crabbin paisano

Started out at 7 00am withold reliable with 5 handlines baited wiyh chicken thighs. Good wind howling even in the cove it was swirling. I used 2 dumbells for anchors one front left and one back right to keep the yak straight. Within 2 minutes i had a double and one was heavy and rusty see picture. Worked hard and moved 4 times to catch 33 jimmies. I was back at 1030 .after cleaning the crabs i blanched them in boiling water and peeled them later on for a 1.5 lb bowl of lump crab meat.Getting ready for a crab imperial recipe similiar to the one i always got at the SMITHVILLE INN years ago on the way to AC.Does anyone remember Smithville or the Rams Head Inn good old days.

Also my grandfather worked at the smithville inn for a while until he got settled in at the electric company. He always said it was one of his favorite jobs. Last time I was around there I tried crabbing those bays and wow the currents rip hard in smithville

Ram's Head Inn had an incredible 1 lb lobster tail. Best I've ever had.
