Captain,  Glad to hear that you are on the mend.  I have always looked forward to, and enjoyed, your wonderful outlook and flair for the written word.

No such thing as a bad crabbin day!

Bill, I'm just seeing this post this morning, so I'm too late to wish you well in your procedure.  Instead, I'll wish you a quick and complete recovery.  With a year off from seeing the Madison Rose on the waters, there must be an abundance of crabs in the creeks down your way.
Take care.
Oh, de crab, he taste so fine.
Yuh catch 'um wid a neck an' a line.
Bile de water 'til 'e good 'n hot.
Den eat de crab strait from 'de pot.

Oh, de beer, he taste so chilly.
Drinks it 'til I gets too silly.
Washin' down 'de crab an' butter.
If I doesn't fall down, I'll 'ave anudder.

I have enjoyed reading Cap't Willie's reports for several years. I almost feel like I am there with him during his adventures on the Madison Rose. He is a super crabber and has such a knack for putting his trips into words. I have no doubt the Good Lord will watch over you and have you back whizzing around the "crabmuda triangle" next spring. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I texted the Captain a couple days ago. Sure sounds like he is doing great. Doesn't sound like things could go better for recovery. We all look forward to seeing the captain's stories next spring.
