NOREAST

First day of vaca and wasn't in a hurry to do anything. Hit the ramp around 12:30 in the afternoon to a very vacant parking lot. Headed down river and didn't see one boat crabbing. Set out 23 ring traps and the first run we had 5 keepers with a 7 3/8"  to be the first one in the boat. Second run 6 keepers. Slowed a bit but still getting keepers every run. When I mentioned about making a move, the Captain scolded me and said, you don't leave crabs to find crabs. Of coarse the next trap had another 7" crab. Headed back to the ramp at 4 o'clock with a little under a half basket with 3 being over 7". Cooked them up in the hotel parking lot and gave the desk clerk a half dozen for a little snack. She was much appreciative. This must be the Chinese year of the turtle, we went thur 50 extra c/n's in 3 hrs.
