I have a 12 ft Jon boat I throw in the back of the truck and want to try shrewsbury river...but don't want to pay any ramp fees. Any dead end roads or parks I can drag the boat over to the river?  It's so disheartening that jersey has very few free launches. Florida has em down every block it seems cuz they use money from their salt water fishing license.

190 Riverview Ave #198, Little Silver, NJ 07739.  Ramp is free.  Plenty of parking.  Wouldn't have to drag the boat far at all.
Oh, de crab, he taste so fine.

Bonefreak there are a few dead end streets off Mantoloking rd if you want to crab the Metedeconk also downthe road off Prineton Ave on the left side some spots at the end you can launch from and crab the Beaver dam creek. I put my kayak in at those locations.

There are about a handful or ramps that are indeed free towards the back end of the river.  Real ramps.

There is a free ramp on the Shrewsbury in Oceanport at BlackBerry Bay Park.

Scratch what I said above. The ramp at Blackberry Bay Park is no longer free. There is one, however, on River Lane in Long Branch that is totally free. Used it today.
