JJust thought i would send a couple of pics of a fish that was almost extinct for a number of years.Blowfish are so tasty and are back in the bays in late August thru October.acouple chum logs and a hi-lo setup with smallpieces of clam or blood worm fish bites will do the trick.

I love them, great eating. It's always a fun time taking my niece out for some blowfish fishing.

Great job!
We love eating Blowfish
I tried three times this summer where I have caught them real good the last few seasons
near BI buoy out of Waretown
They just weren't there, we only caught a few babies, lots of Spots though.

M Michael they arrived a little late this year ,since we got rid of that south wind that hurt fluking this year,Blowfish came in last week and its been consistent for about a week near the research buoy. Alot of boats were anchored and picking away at them. One guy we spoke to had 35 and they are all nice size.michael give it another try before the end of September, good luck

I remember catching them by the burlap bag full, some 55 years ago under the rt 37 bridge in seaside, fishing off the embankment pilings. What a feast with extended family all crammed into a 2 bedroom bungalow. I hope they're still there in early October. At least catch a couple to relive those boyhood memories. Great crabbing memories too, of course!

Try stuffing the bait box of a crab pot with left over cleanings from eating steamed crabs.  You should have enough for winter.
