What time can a commercial crabber start putting his line out and what time can he start crabbing in the Chester River?  Does he have to have his liscense # displayed on his boat?

As far as I know, there isn't a specified time for a commercial crabber to lay out a trotline. They cannot harvest crabs from the line until 1 hour before sunrise (in October this changes to 1/2 hour before sunrise). They can run down the line to knock off crabs before the start time, but not harvest. The commercial license number is supposed to be displayed on both sides of the boat. Also their day off is supposed to be displayed on the port side near the stern.
