Decided to give it one last shot.

2 hours, 6 traps with spot, porgy racks, chicken.

Got 7 beauties including personal best of 7  15/16 inches with a broken spine and no claws.

Doesn't get much closer to 8  than that ! ,,,,Better go back and look for the missing spike piece   Gonna be a beautiful next couple days

Wtg id remeasure that. Not exact in pic it may be 8!! I caught a solid 8 incher 2 yrs ago and i mounted it. It had spikes just as long. You may have an 8 there!!!

I tried. It went from 7 7/8 to 7 15/16....the best I could stretch
