Does the wind ever lay down? Anyway started at 10:00 quit at 1:00. 26 nice keepers this time which was enough for my wife and I, especially with the wind. Had 16 traps out with CN. Outgoing tide with water at 64 degrees. Everything was in deeper water 10 - 12 ft. A month ago you couldn't buy a crab in anything over 7 ft. Water temp had dropped 8 degrees since Tuesday when I was fishing in the same area.

I think October is the windiest month during the fishing, crabbing seasons. I call it "Sailboat Month". Always hated having to be near heavily traveled waters during October. Water is cooling down and the crabs are all heading to deeper waters. Diehard crab potters will catch them in 65 feet of water in the main shipping channel before it's over for the year.
