My Buddy and a friend crabbed the Bush near the bridge and then moved out near #5 closer to the mouth in the morning.  Ended up with 2 crabs.  I didn't know they went and decided last minute to do an afternoon trip. NW Wind was howling so I stayed in a protected area near the bridge and managed to get 4 crabs in about 2 hours.  Looks like the Bush could be done for this year.

It has been great, One of the best years for the Bush River in a long time!!!
I love to fish, but I live to crab.

I crabbed the Bush a few times this year.  First time ever in my twenty years of crabbing, and I live only 20 minutes from the launch.  I finally found a friend with AGP access.  We crabbed towards the mouth and did well each time.  Oddly, traps were equal to or better then the line each time.  I migrated to trotline crabbing about 10 years ago, but this is the first year I kept bringing out more and more traps to get a bushel.  It was like that most places I crabbed this season.  Didn't matter if it was the Bush or Kent Island.

I am contemplating hitting Rocky Point one more time this weekend.  It's closer to home then the Bush.  I only need a few dozen, but seems like that window may have closed in the last week or two.

I crabbed the upper bay East side on Sunday the 13th and crushed them.  Crabbed the same spot on Tuesday after the real windy day on Monday and also only caught 2.  I think they just dug themselves in the mud to ride out the storm.  I bet they will still be there.  Heading out on Friday to try again.

I went out with a buddy two Sundays ago and it was slow, but productive. We worked a line of perfectionist rings near the barge around 8'. Couple dozen when we called it quits. The weekend before that he went out and crushed it with an average 8 per run, smalls were early, then the larger 6-7" woke up and were replacing the smalls. It does seem to be slowing down up there. Might be time to head deeper/south

Went out today to areas that have been productive this year. Two crabs, it's over.
