I don't understand how this even makes sense.  How does dumping polluted dredge spoils in an underwater pit prevent pollution?  If you've ever watched the mud drop off an anchor, you'd see it leaves a trail as it falls.  I can only imagine when this stuff hits the bottom, it will be gigantic plume of material, which I would think will put a nice "dusting" over the entire bottom of the river.  And it won't be capped....will it be a like a mini Conowingo dam?

It's some the most toxic spoils in the world. They were dumping it in a area just south of the key bridge but that's at capacity.  It's bad enough there dredging this material once, now they want contaminate the shores of Rock  and Stoney Creeks   In the end it's all about the money   It should be processed if possible or put into a landfill. These toxins will be introduced to the food chain and eventually us humans.

If their site is full, put it on a barge and haul it somewhere else.  There has to be some way to treat the material to remove contaminates.
