11-7-24 Beaver Dam bridge

Seeing all the recent posts gave me the urge to try this morning around 6 30 with 6 traps baited with chicken thighs,and dead low tide.!st hour nothing ,moved the traps around and added some rope to the end of the line to reach the deeper channel.Goal was 1 dozen by 8 00am ,unfortunately still woking. Wound up with 11 nice crabs. 4 throw backs and only 1 female. i have never crabbed this late who knows maybe they will be around until Thanksgiving.

Crabbing Paisano,
Aren't you far from home? This area is where I cut my teeth early in my crabbing career. Beaver Dam, Hollywood Beach, Gandy's beach boat rental. You should've pack up and went to the bridge not far from there, to see if it was better. But don't forget the golden rule, don't leave crabs to find crabs. After 60 years, I still do this and the Captain doesn't hesitate to give me a hard time, every time I do this. At least you had a beautiful, peaceful day, doing something you love to do, and went home with a nice snack. Don't forget about the Red Eye Crab restaurant in Dividing Creek, always fresh seafood, check the hours of operation. Been there 20 plus times and had my 60th birthday party there, always on point. Noreast thats not the beaver dam Paisano is crabbing. Beaver Dam in SJ is closed. Crabs should keep biting till cold weather

I know it's closed, but i know people crab off the bridge even though it's posted. He mentioned Hayleysville bridge before that I do believe is not too far away from there. Don't get me wrong, I might be wrong,  I do feel my mind slipping away some. I think they call it, you don't remember [shiz] you old bitch.

Fish Machine thank you for clearing that up ,im in Brick ,NJ,the beaver dam creek runs off the Metedeconk river then they go into the Barnegat bay. Dont get me wrong i would love to go to that restaurant and crab DC the FORT and all those honey holes. We are all getting older,when i retire these places will be on my weekly bucket list.

Your knowledge of these places to crab from land and back waters are very impressive. Docks, bridges, little back woods creeks that produce. Wish i knew you when I was in between boats. Looks like the Captain and myself will do a little scouting around some of your crabbing areas this off season. Looks like Mother Nature is not going to be nice again this weekend.
