Catch Stone crabs using wire Blue Crab traps

Hey All, As a way to change it up I will occasionally go stone crabbing... when the season opens of course. Those monster claws are delicious-  although truly not as good as our blue crabs, but just as fun to catch! 
So one day I tried to catch Stone Crabs using wire Blue Crab traps-  and I actually find the wire style of trap catch better with Stone crabs.  Stone claws are so expensive this is the only way to do it.

I occasionally catch Stone Crabs in ring traps in my area south of Daytona. Not too often though.
