I know it is not "big news" for us Southerners. I left out a key word on my previous post. I have been eating fresh crabs here all winter. I know the waters in North Carolina is a bit colder than Georgia waters. I will be putting my crab traps this weekend. 8)

My father in-laws got 200 ready to go in about the third week of March. So by then with my kids help he'll have at least the better part of 3/4 of them ready. We haul 3 to 4 times a week about 150 a time out of SC. They were mostly females, sales dropped off due to the snowy weather up in DC/Balt.
Lots of crabbers and crab lovers on here. If you enjoy crabs, lot's of info and good chat about crabs. Why not go ahead and donate to this forum. Deep down after doing research on here and chatting with others, you will find useful info from some new friends.ENJOY!!
