IMHO, tidalfish has this area sowed up.   Not sure what benifit another fishing forum would be.  Most of the time when fishing comes up on Blue-Crab it is an aside to the topic being discussed.

I agree....I'm torn since I love both....fishing and crabbing.

I guess, IMHO, leave the fishing forums to other boards. This is a crabbing board, so lets keep it that way. If we want to start a thread about fishing, we can always post it in "general", or "off topic"....as long as the threads don't get out of hand.

There are plenty of fishing forums out there, esp in our area..this is the first totally "crabbing" board that I have seen and I would like it to be preserved.

However, I DO FISH!  I also Clam!  We can try it, but keep it separate.  Waiting for more opinions!

The name says it all.  BLUE CRAB ARCHIVES, I don't think that Steve is out there to break any world records for hits.

In addition to www.tidalfish.com you have the Virginia board on www.PierAndSurf.com for the folks that fish from shore.  

I don't know about the rest of you but I have four fishing/crabbing bookmarks that I check every time I am on a computer.  This is one of them.  I vote for keeping it focused.

I'm with you guys on the crab only forum. But If steve added just one fishing box/forum where us crabbers can post our fishing reports that would be cool. I don't think it will change the main function of the CRAB forum. It would be mostly for us to share our fishing reports when the crabbing is slow or during the off season.
Your not going to see guys from http://www.stripersonline.com/ come here just to talk fishing.

Yippee!!  I love to fish also...just don't want to cram too many topics in one board, but I think this can work!  Just please try to keep  your topics in the appropriate areas!  We have the board, now let's use it!  TO THE MAX!  

Let's face it...not everyone here only crabs!  If you love the outdoors...then more likely than not, you also at least fish!  

As long as we post in the right areas, so that poor Steve doesn't have to keep moving the posts...I think this can work!!  It's up to us!

I remeber three years ago, i didnt even know what crabbing was. I always use to just fish and clam everyweekend. One day someone mentioned crabbing to me and i tagged along, been hooked eversince.

bassbarn.com is a GREAT NJ board. Keep it strictly crabbing on here.. the link on the main forum is PLENTY for all the fisherman that are on here...
