not saying im an expert, but having an uncle who has a cabin in the allagash forest in maine, i have shot quite a few nice bucks up there i knew those we not maine bucks. 1. racks are to neutral color( not dark enough) has to do with there feed. 2 . those deer are small bodied companered to maine deer, our average 8 or 10 point weighs between 250 an 270# i shot a doe up there that tipped the scales at 198# field dressed.

....never in a million years, would I have thought a buck like this would come from the sub-burbs of MD/DC.........you never know!!!  ;)

...Let me just go on record saying, I did not shoot nor do I know the person or any of the friends of the person in the pic responsible for the harvest of that deer, It was used solely for entertainment purposes and point used forward...regarding the discussion at hand. ;)
