Hi everybody I hope I can post this question here and that it is on subject.
My small game hunting rifle is a 10/22 carbine with composite stock.
Does anyone know what kind of sling mounts I can get for this?
I can get the band for the front but don't know how to put the mount on the butt of the stock (composite)
Thx

The only sling mounts I've seen require you to drill the butt of the stock. Then they simply screw into place. Shouldn't be much trouble with a composite stock. Cabela's has the Uncle Mikes quick detach swivels, there is a set for Ruger carbines.

Yes but the screw in type state for wooden stocks. Composite is hollow.  I can't see how screw in will work.  Thats why I was asking.

Screw in worked with my Rem 870 composite butt stock.

Uncle Mike's...drill a pilot hole large enough that the screw shank could go into if the threads didn't stop it.  Then use a allen key (small enough to pass through the hole in the swivel mount) to tighten.  If the pilot hole is too small the shank will expand the hole and possibly crack the plastic.

If the threads strip, you can set it in 2 part epoxy, wipe away the excess and let it cure.

perfect I have a two part plastic epoxy and JB weld I could use.
thx again
