sure  like the proposed crossbow hunting ,all of bow season  :) :) :)                                                                                                                                                                    http://www.dnr.state.md.us/wildlife/comments/Hunt_Proposal.asp
Many good seamen go down the drain....I happen to be a lucky one

For me, the jury is still out on the crossbow issue ??? ???  I saw one while I was out once.......I bow hunt all season long.  Hey we bowhunt during gun season, so I guess turn-about is fair play.  The proposal only covers certain counties anyway.  I hunt in Howard county myself.  Most of the areas I hunt are bow only so that might have a negative impact on the number of hunters.  I'll let you know.....If'n I catch one in my stand area I'll be po'd ;D :D :D ;)
I hear the sound of one hand clapping....you don't??

I'd like to see the crossbow legalized statewide. No reason it shouldn't be.

Thank god Pa. allows, up until a couple of years ago Crossbow hunting. Bought a Ten Point Pro-Fusion w/Accu Draw & Red Dot Scope (175lb.max>for Pa.) 2-years ago and they are deadly accurate, 1 to 2" groups at 35-40 yards, That Crossbow has put alot of venison in the freezer over the last couple of years.

No matter how much i practiced with a convention/long curve (younger years) to the fully
equipped/tuned/fitted compound bow just never felt right to me. can i make that shot or not  ???, don't want to shoot/wound, want to the as ethical as possible.

With a good Crossbow, once you site them in at the different yardages, they are deadly accurate.

I believe the English from the 1300's would have to agree with you about the accuracy of crossbows....

I posted this cause I can't seem to shoot a compound bow either. :-[ But like jrcrab said crossbows are extreamly accurate,I have a barnett 175  ,with a barnett scope,it has the elevation lines in the scope..My lowest line will hit at 50 to 60 yards  :shocked2: The power is great, every deer I've killed with it has been down in under 150 yards .......... This new rule would be nice for me and others that can't shoot conventional bows................. :) :) PS DON'T PUT YOUR THUMB  ABOVE THE STOCK!!!!!!!!!!Happy hunting

Where in HoCo do you bow hunt?  I moved to Laurel about 2 years ago and haven't done much (any) hunting on this side of the bridge.  I got a bow for last season but never hunted it, the few trips across the bridge I did make were for waterfowl.  Any tips would be great!
You know what they say about a bad day on the water...

yOU HAVE QUITE A FEW SPOTS NEAR YOU......

Beltsville Agricultural Research Center and all the WSSC property (permit) allows you to hunt.  I hunt some small parcels that are bow hunting only on WSSC property.  The permit costs 30 bucks and it allows you to fish also ;D
