I am planning a vacation to the Charleston area in late Oct or early Nov.  Is the crabbing any good this late in the year?  I read somewhere that when the water temp reaches 50 degrees crabs are inactive.  I am new to crabbing any would appreciate any info. re: crabbing and maybe some places to go in the Charleston area.

Yes, you can crab in October and November. I crab all year on Georgia's beautiful coast. The water temperature will be in the mid 60s -lower 70s in October.

Many thanks...I will finalize my plans.  I am an avid fisherman...but never been crabbing.
