What in the world are swivels for?

To Swivel..   They keep the line from twisting up when a bottom rig rolls across the bottom or when you catch a fish and he rolls as u r reeling him in.

Oh, those kind of swivels!  I thought he was askin' about the ones on the bottom of bar stools that keep yer bum from gettin' friction burnt and twisted out of alignment... ;)
