crab "ring type traps" sizes

I know there is no limit to the number of collapsable ring type traps you can use from shore. But is there any limit on the diameter size that can be used?

In this section there is a sticky post from 08-09. In it you will find:

6. A collapsible crab trap with the largest opening not greater
than 18 inches and which by design collapses at all times
when in the water, except when being retrieved or lowered to
the bottom.

You may need to get a new regulation book or find it online if you want something more current.
