First chance I got to go hunting this year was a good one.  Saturday I let a small spike walk 18 yds. from me.  Wasn't going to use one of my buck tags on him.  Saturday evening I saw 5 hogs but to far to shoot.
Sunday morning I had a big buck Walk 20 yds. then stop right in front of me.  Only problem his ribs were behind a small branch and his neck was behind a tree.  Didn't want to take the shot with my cross bow then like a flash he was gone.  Later I saw a big cowhorn spike but to far to shoot.  Monday morning I saw 6 turkeys.  Squirrels galore.  Rifle season opens in 10 days.  Can't wait.

I know there are some bars around here that that would work, you dont even need to use any cover scent.  The "hoggettes" seem to go for younger grunts.

lol, at least I live on the outskirts of that dump.  I have noticed their pattern.  Their peak activity is just like the whitetail, mostly in the morning and in the evening.  You do got to watch out for the occasional lunch time mover. If you are caught at night alone  with an experienced nocturnal hoggette.  You have no chance.

Thanks, I slept, but I did pull the trail cam out.  A lot of pics and at least now I can say they are moving strictly in morn and evening.  I had to work this morn, but I will be hunting the evening.  Driving in, I saw there are alot of people out.  Good luck if you do have a chance to make it out.
