I'll take your word for that. Do necks last enough longer, even in traps, to justify the difference between .50/lbs for drumsticks (40 lbs. for $20 on sale currently at my store) vs the .83/lb for necks quoted by an earlier poster? I just use whatever is cheap and easily accessible to me. And what works to attract crabs. And for hand-lines, I find the shape of a drumstick very convenient :)

I was in a Fresh Grocer yesterday in Philly, and made an inquiry to the meat manager for the price of a 40# case of fresh necks.  He quoted me 63.00.  I politely walked away.
