Toughest day of crabbing in recent memory. We knew once we got to our spot near Mill Creek about 7am it was going to be rough but didn't think it was going to that bad. Wind was howling constant 15+ with gusts 20+. Boat was swinging all over the place dragging our bait with it. We lasted about an hour and a half with 1 crab to show when we decided to head north. We tucked in on the NW side of the bridge to get a break from the wind. Conditions were somewhat better there but in and 2.5 hrs we netted 3 crabs. Overall was an epic fail for the day. I'll blame the conditions and the fact when we started the tide was rock bottom but even at 12 when the tide was close to be back in we couldn't scare anything into the boat. Will go back out in a few weeks hoping for better results.
