Running a trotline in FL

Can you run a trotline in FL and whats the length limit?

There's a guy on the forum that helped me out last year ,he lives in Fl,he's from Md I think ,his name is prosh possibly with some numbers,sorry I know thats not much help.

Trotlines are legal in Florida.
So is baiting with poles.

Check the regulations. They are posted above in rules and regulations.

I just tried to find the answer for you but couldn't.
I would call FWC and let them define their laws!

when you call fwc , it all depends on who answers the phone for getting the right answer.....i ran a trot line here , but not when the crabs were plenty full, but i caught some ...but i could catch all i needed in my 5 POTSwith less work...running a line in summertime fl. is not my idea of fun.....the fwc says you can run a line with no limit on length,but could not give me answer on whether you could do it while you had POTS soaking or were working traps or hand lines at the same time ....
