Got to the pier N. Causeway. right at the peak of High tide 8:30a stayed until 2:45p
Only got 3 crabs. To small to keep
Bait: Chicken, Cut bait
Not a good day

I had the same results except for the Stone Crab claw I got.
Stone Crab season just opened on 10-14-12.
From what I heard the best Blue Crabbing in the area is late May thru August.

I love NSB, been going there for 50 years Mom & Dad lived Beachside before passing , Sister lives on Bochelle Island.

If it weren't for the Grand Kids I'd be down there eating Stavro's salad and sitting in the breakers having a cocktail watching the beautiful ocean.

Where are you located at from Ft. Meyers?  I was there in November.  Didn't see anybody crabbing but a whole lot of people fishing.
