Wow is that bamboo where those crabs are dumped? If so it is huge how old is it?    ::) ::) :o :o

Yes.  The latin name of that strain is Phyllostachys vivax. Some of those culms are getting 5 to 6 inches in diameter.  I planted it close to 20 years ago, I guess.  I have several groves of different types of bamboo scattered around my property.  Here's a video I took back in the Spring if anyone is interested ->

I truly hope you get these VERY important issue with these crabs settled so you can find some type of peace in your life.It may be time to take a look at whats really important in life, like your health and the health of your family. In some ways I can see you being upset, but in the grand scheme of things,is any of this worth getting upset about ? Maybe a trip to a Cancer ward in a hospital or a psyche unit somewhere would put things in perspective for you. After rereading this thread I think you've either lived a pretty charmed life or have some pretty poor opinions on whats really important in life.

Well, I guess some people really don't mind getting bent over and shafted without so much as a whimper. Sorry, but I am just not one of them.  So I guess you are the kind of guy who will buy something that turns out to be garbage and you don't even raise an eyebrow over it?  Good heavens, don't make waves!  Just throw it in the trash and chalk it up to experience, eh?  It is attitudes like this that give people incentive to screw others over.  If they got their toes singed every time that they did that, maybe they would figure out that there are better ways to make a living.

Sorry that it apparently offends you that someone will just stand up and say NO to people trying to screw them over.

I thought that pic was from Gilligans island, personally I'd have eaten the crabs, why let them go to waste ???

Seriously? You would have eaten that [curd] rather than waste it?  I guess your avatar is well chosen.

I don't see how you accomplished this.  I see crabs, that you evidently paid too much for, sitting out for the bugs to eat.  I am all for protests but not for accomplishing nothing and even making it worse by not salvaging what you could have. You do realize that you posted that picture on a forum where people usually go out and catch their own crabs not buy them, right?  Good day sir 8)

Actually I thought this was a forum that had people knowledgeable about blue crabs in several facets.  I would have liked to have heard that I was wrong about my thoughts that these online retailers are importing crabs from Louisiana and elsewhere and are fraudulently labelling them as "Maryland" crabs.  It thought who would know better than people who are actually catching them?

And I had hoped that perhaps some people here knew of an online source of steamed blue crabs that didn't have lying to the public as the mainstay of their corporate policy.

Is this forum not sure a place?

Sept 5 th of last year I was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration in both eyes, google it and then tell me how that compares to your crab problem.I was a barber for 20 yrs,I heard MANY sad stories of cancer, strokes .death etc. What I am saying to you is in the grand scheme of things this is NOTHING.You sound like a spoiled self centered child, grow up,get over it,it's nothing, they're crabs,no one is dead, sick, injured in any way,you got crabs you weren't happy with,BIG DEAL.Suck on your passifier a bit and move on with your life.
