I wanted to crab the Indian River in Delaware this weekend and am not sure if I'll have permission to use the beach house I normally use to load, launch, and the pier for my boat. House is for sale and I'd like one last trip to granny's and crab for sentimential reasons. If I cant use her place, is there a free boat launch? I know Holt's Landing, but do you need a permit? I hear a lot of folks on the forum crab Gull Pt, I know where the trailer park is, does that have a launch. I prefer to crab outside my Gmoms place which is the middle of the River on the water by the 3rd hole or something at Cripple Creek Gulf Course, Holt's is just a few minutes away. Any suggestions?? Thanks a lot for any info!!! - Danny

It all depends where your boat is registered,if it's registered in De you can use any of the ramps,if it's not de registered you'll need a permit.I'm not sure where to get them,my boats are De registered

Thanks for the info Rapp. I'm registered in MD so atleast I'll know for the future, but did talk to my granny who's 94 and she gave me permission to go the house one last time before it's sold. It will be a memorable experience; I started crabbing there with my granddad when I was a young lad. Lots of memories of great fishing and crabbing.
