I live in central Florida looking for a place I can take my kids crabbing for our first time. Preferrably not to crowded so I dont xmake a spectacle out of myself. Any help would be appreciated

I would suggest Buena Vista park in New Smyrna.  The crabs are almost all the smaller females but when they start running you can catch a lot of them.  There is a small H shaped dock and a long one that runs next to the North Causeway.   Use the smaller dock, it is more family friendly.  In addition there is a small playground, covered picnic tables and bathrooms with running water.  Easy parking and not too far of a walk to the small dock.

Volusia County has numerous parks on the water! Many people go crabbing off the north and south causeways fishing docks.
I haven't seen many people crabbing yet but the water is warm enough for crabs!
In Daytona you could also go to the Dunlawton fishing docks under the bridge.
Google Earth the area before you come to the coast to see what area is most easily accessed by you.
Regardless where you choose there is certain to be a park or fishing dock close by!
Good luck when you go and please post a report!
Retired in paradise!
