Yea. Bent tape across the shell it was 9 1/16. Mutzy measured 87/8"

Nice crabs guys! I need to quit this site so I can catch big crabs again (8.5+). I haven't caught a big crab since I joined this forum >:( ;D

    Caught this one today  9/16/14  it measures 8 and 5/16 inches. Caught it near Pooles Island in upper Chesapeake bay.

Nice crabs guys!  Hoping to find over 8" this wknd. 

I will say this: Might crab measure - is there a finer measure made?  I say no, but if you can find one - buy it!

The sun was so bright that I could not see the screen on camera, so picture is not that great.  We measured it at 8 5/8" but the picture looks like 8 1/2" so I'll call it 8 1/2".   This crab had small points compared to its body.  The claws were impressive, claw tip to claw tip was a little over 21".

    Caught this one today-10/2/14-at Middle River on Bowleys Bar, it measures 8 and 15/16 inches.
