Had five traps out for 24 hours, only caught 4 crabs but one was a crabzilla!! A little over 8", point to point. Still waiting on bigger numbers but its starting to get better. Have fun.

A CRAB A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY.

SHELLFISH

Thanks for the report and that is a very nice crab for down here!
All I am getting in the Edgewater are are 5.5. to 6.5 inch crabs mostly!
Out of 110 crabs this year only one has been 7 inches!
Retired in paradise!

Night Wing

When I catch a crab 8" or more, I call them "trophy crabs".  ;)

Thanks for the report and the photos.

Nice crab!  i crabbed all morning of the 4th in Flemming island and endeded up with 1 male, about 5".  I threw him back.   Willing to share your spot in St. Aug?   Best spot in our area is still Guana in my experience.  Its not uncommon to pull multiple 7-8" crabs there.  I have netted a few 8.5-9's"
