Did another scouting trip onto public hunting land. I wanted to check the other side of a stream. While walking in a dog from a house starts barking at me and the owner of the dog comes down. She just wanted to make sure her dog did not scare me as he was not on a leash. Her property backs right into the edge of the public property and a deer trail goes right along the edge of her back yard. So I ask if its ok if I hunt her property. She says no at first but I told her I would be bow hunting only and a very safe hunter. She says its fine for me to hunt there as long as I stay away from the house. I just picked up a new place to hunt.   ;D Then I keep scouting around following the stream. I find a huge trail where the deer cross the stream. 30 yards away there is another trail with hoof prints on top hoof prints. There are also big buck print in the mud as well. In the middle are two nice trees for my climber. The deer cross the stream to feed at night by the houses and acorn trees that are on the hill. Then cross the stream to bed in the morning. It looks like most of the deer that cross this stream cross at this spot. It is very shallow at this spot. But as any water way im sure it will change and the deer movement will change. Further down the stream it gets deeper and up the stream I did not see much crossing signs. Im thinking a great morning hunting spot. I will keep hunting the other side in the evening.

No she didnt but I really dont know how much I plan on hunting at her place. The place I scouted down stream is where im going to hunt the most. The deer are all moving threw that spot so why not hunt there first. I am looking to shoot a big buck from this spot this year.

very nice! I bought a compound over the summer and I cant wait to use. It is tough to find a lefty bow.  I totally regret buying a crossbow before this (too easy).  Compound is more fun, like it is an art. Once this heat breaks I am ready to start stakin some slick heads. lol But that is after trip to Carolinas this weekend for a wedding (reality funeral for buddy of mine)
