Prohibited
• Possession of uncooked blue crab meat without
the body shell attached.
• Possession of more than 2 claws per body.
• Possession of egg bearing females.
Chesapeake-style crabs traps.

From the CT Angler's Guide, marine fishing, p56.
Took me 2 years to find it!

Hello. A newbie here.  Boring story short I can first confirm that these traps are illegal in CT.  Secondly, I emailed the State's Marine contact and he was very helpful.  Unf., I had already ordered 3 such traps so am now trying to decide if I should sell them or keep them.

I'd like some more info on this.

Are these legal with some type of commercial license? Also, anyone know where it states in black and white that they aren't legal?

Thanks!

Thanks!   Like MichaelD  said, on page 56 of the 2015 Connecticut Anglers guide, The rule is in black and white.  The picture of the guy with   the beard and crabs is me.  You can't use those traps for commercial crabbing either in CT
