Stuck Not Anchored

I am a regular crabber in New Jersey.  I have a place in Islamorada and I just cannot find a spot that regularly hits with blue claws.  My gut is that there is not enough freshwater runoff, but I have also heard that Card Sound Road in Key Largo produces.  Any thoughts, suggestions, places to try?  Thanks.
You can't stop stupid.  You just have to work really hard to contain it.

About thirty miles north of you is Manatee Bay which is part of Barnes Sound. Manatee bay has fresh water entering it from a manmade canal system and there is a marina and boat ramp on this canal one mile from the bay for access. Marina is on Hwy 1.

I have never crabbed here, but if I was looking at likely spots, this would be a top choice, due to the canals influence. They may have  crabs in the canal itself.

Check it out on Google Earth.
Say brother....can you spare a crab...

Thanks.  That looks to be in the area I was thinking about (at least close..not walking close, but close).  I appreciate the insight.
