Heading over for couple nights stay in  S. Daytona. I'm going to give the piers under Dunlawton bridge a try. I have only crabbed there once and didn't have much luck. Does anyone on this forum crab this area?  Any tips or thoughts? I will update the forum on my trip.

Thanks,
Wally

Well crabbed the west pier under Dunlawton bridge. I crabbed 2 hrs prior to hight tide and the 2hrs after .  I caught zero crabs.
I baited half my ring nets with cut lady fish and the rest with chicken necks. Although no crabs were caught still beats being at work. ....;) ;)

Sorry to hear of your catch. Crabbing is slow right now in the area. You will have to wait until the water warms a bit.
There is a fish kill from blue/green algae south of us down by Titusville so you don't want to go down here! It is killing everything in the water including crabs. I don't know if its affecting the clams and Oysters.

try this.  Set some traps on the EAST side of the river, up as close to mangroves as possible.  East side has more afternoon sun and the water is warmer, at least that is what I have found.......just thinking
