I have a boat with a boat license.  So it looks like I can take unlicensed passengers fishing crabbing etc and they are covered by my boat license.  The crab limit says 1 bushel per person.  If I have 3 people out can we keep 3 bushels?  I know they do need a FIN # to be legal.  Anyone know?   I may call DNR to confirm.

You might want to call but I believe if you only have the one license (the boat one) than you are only allowed to keep one bushel. Would you really need 3 bushels of crabs?

Boat license allows all people on the boat to crab, but you are limited to the # of bushels you can keep by the # of licenses.

For example, if you have a boat license with three people who are unlicensed, you are limited to one bushel.

If you are on a boat with a boat license and one other licensed rider, and two unlicensed, then you could keep two...   and so on...

If only the captain of the licensed boat was licensed yes.   If other licenses are on board, then no.

Three guys on a boat, each returning to their families with a bushel of crabs, is reasonable to me.

Thank you Ron.  That makes sense to me.  Much appreciated

Ok, just talked to DE F&W this morning, the boat fishing license covers all people on your boat that have a FIN number and can take limit per FIN number on boat as referenced on the other post.  All on board must have a FIN number if actively fishing.
