Crabbing and Boat Ramps around Corolla?

Hi all..................I plan to vacation to the Corolla area this summer.  I am thinking of bringing my boat to do some crabbing.  Are there public boat ramps and any good crabbing in the Currituck Sound?  Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's only one ramp in Corolla. It's at the Whalehead Club and the water is pretty shallow. You can launch smaller size boats there, anything over 21' or that draws more than 2' of water probably won't be worth the hassle of bringing. Plenty of crabs in Currituck Sound depending on time of year. In the summer you should be able to catch a few.
