Jekyll Island crabbing and shrimping in April?

Was wondering what to expect crabbing on Jekyll island in April.    Any ideas on good crabbing spots other than the pier?  Also a bit off topic, but was wondering if anyone beach seined Jekyll or the other Georgia islands in April for bait shrimp (would love to get bait shrimps and mullet guts for the crabbing).  Also, anyone use crab hawk type traps for blue crabs?  Ive used them west coast for stone and dungies and they were pretty great.  thanks
