Had my 6 nets in the water at Riverbreeze at 6:00.  Was very slow only pulling in 2 keepers and 1 stone crab (was 1 day to early to keep) in about an hour and a half.  I went to Goodrich's on my way  home for 2 hours and pulled in 11 more decent size crabs.  Most were in the 5-5 1/2 range with only 2 greater that 6.  I was using chicken necks.  I Will be cooking flounder with crab over the top of it tonight.

Thanks for the report, I thought stone crabs opened up October 1? Will have to check, seems strange that you are allowed to keep both claws but with a size limit.

I was wrong again, season does open on the 15th.

Thanks for the report and glad to hear you got enough for a good meal.
They say the temps are going to drop here on Sunday. I certainly hope so; it's been a hot summer!
Maybe when the water temps drop we will have better catches!
Retired in paradise!
