Just wanted to post a pic of my sika from this year.
Each one of us here today will at one time in our lives look upon a loved one who is in need and ask the same question: We are willing to help, Lord, but what, if anything, is needed? For it is true we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it is those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding.

That is a nice one! I really don't know a lot about sika deer. The few thing I do know is they are hard to hunt and taste great. Makes me want to hunt them. Might give it a try next year. Congrats on the nice buck.

Nice rack! One good thing about them, they're easy to drag.

Man Al, that is a great one.  I sure hope you have plans on the wall for that trophy.  Great job.

I agree with Jerry. The deer Ya'll cooked at the Wye was some of the best deer I ever ate.

Sika's are hunted on the lower eastern shore of MD and Va.  They are usually the elusive deer and a great stag like this one are few in comparison to the white tail deer.  Their habitats are usually the swamp marshes or pines that are very close to the swamp marshes or the lower eastern shore.

That's the first that I've really seen one. Pretty cool looking though.
