Crabby's Rt 50 Belcoville (Mays Landing) NJ wait times

Just a caution for anyone planning an outing to this restaurant with a party of 4 or more. Food remains excellent, and service once you get a table is very good. However, four of us showed up before 5:30 PM on a Tuesday (7/16) and it was already mobbed, with people parking on the shoulder on the other side of Rt 50. We ere told there would be a half-hour to 45 minute wait (no phone reservations are taken.) Turned out to be 1-1/2 hours, and that was after complaining to the manager. I understand the motivations to fudge the stated wait time, but I don't like it or approve of it... One complication on week-days is their "all you can eat" specials - a party can potentially occupy a table for hours. Those specials are not available on week-ends, but the increase in patrons makes the wait even worse. I do recommend this restaurant, but strongly suggest showing up before 5 PM, possibly as early as the 4 PM opening time. Because of the dining room layout, parties of two typically get seated much more quickly.
