Sandbridge beach and the back bay canals

Good morning. I am going to sandbridge beach on August 10th for a week. I have been several times before and was pleased with the crabs I pulled from the canals behind my rental home in 2000 and 2001. We were getting several dozen per day and almost all were 5 to 7 inches. In 2016 we rented a house and only got a few per day from the canal, and 2017 we pulled 4 total for the week. We always go mid August and rent a house with a canal and dock. I was wondering if anyone had luck so far this season with crab pots/traps, or dip nets in the canals? Any insight would be appreciated.
