That bucks has a lot of character. I hunted Saturday and was looking for a big buck. Had a nice 2 or 3 year old and a bunch of does and fawns. I had 8 deer around me at one point. I could have shot any of them multiple times.  Soon the deer will be missing as soon as the acorn start to drop.

Each one of us here today will at one time in our lives look upon a loved one who is in need and ask the same question: We are willing to help, Lord, but what, if anything, is needed? For it is true we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it is those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding.

I have not had much action on my camera yet. Just a bunch of does.  I did bite the bullet and did get two tactacam reveals. It is nice getting pics sent to your phone.

Was in the tree on Friday evening.  Shot a doe around 4pm and was just sitting there with my wife in a tree the next ridge over.  I was lazy and never got down to retrieve the arrow figuring nothing else would be in.  About 6:30 I see some white sneaking through the laurels and out comes a buck we have been watching.  He slowly came in stopping at the tree that all the bucks use as a licking branch.  It took him at least 10 minutes to come within 25 yards from me but he hung up.  He saw the arrow (lighted nock) and stopped head on to me.  He stretched his neck as far as he could and smelled (nose flared and lips curled) the arrow for a few seconds looked up and around, smelled it again and backed out.  What a show with absolutely no shot at all.  First pic is him earlier in the morning, second pic was him coming in to me and where he hung up at the branch laying on the ground.  If you look closely, you can see the arrow in the pic form the earlier doe.

Wow what a bummer. This is my first year bow hunting and I'm enjoying it. Haven't let an arrow fly yet but have liked watching the deer. Waiting on a nice buck

Land owner would like me to take a few more deer out. I haven't decided if I want to wait until after the rut to take a few does or do it earlier. Still trying to get out crabbing 1 more time but the wind has been killing me when I have the time to go.

Take a few does out now and reduce the herd.  With fewer does, the bucks will be moving more trying to find them and the time to use scents.  My best deer ever came by using this mentality

It would be impossible for me to put a dent in the doe population. When I had my camera out I would get 30 to 50 does in my pics in a day. Sorry does and fawns. My last hunt I had 9 deer infront of me. I also let 3 go before they came around.

Was going this weekend but its just to HOT!!!!!!  Mid 80's.  Red bugs and tics are bad.  And the mosquitoes will carry you away. I saw one the other day that had red and green lights on its wings.  I'll wait for some cooler weather.

You should see my raccoons.  They have gotten so fat that some of them lay down in the middle of the food to feed.
