I want to share with you this YouTube video. You might be catch one of those crabs. Also check out they YouTube Channel. They started 3 weeks ago and have some great footage and more is coming.

"Welcome to the FV Miss Paula Crab Tagging Project. We are putting on our lab coats and getting our clipboards ready with this fun science project. We are tagging crabs which have recently shed and are in the "Super Trash" status. They are squeezy and haven't filled in with meat yet, so we release them to harden their shell and bulk up a bit. We are tagging them with the hopes that people will report when and where they catch them so we can track migration distance and time to help further understand the life of a Maryland Blue Crab.

If you happen to catch one of our tagged crabs, please let us know in the comments below or at our Facebook page. We'd love to hear from you! Your support will allow us to hopefully piece together some information we can share with you in future videos."

It's  not me, I just subscribed to this YouTube channel and find new video about this. Looks like they will be able to release couple or so every day. For this size crabs it's might take two months to shed and longer for mature females. Chances those crabs get caught probably small, but if there a chance  so why not, always good to know where those crabs go when disappearing from area. I appreciate what this guys do, not only about  this project, about videos they share for entertainment and knowledge. And want to let crabbers know what's going on if they see a tag on pulled crab.
Maryland DNR doing tagging projects, I don't know if anyone from here caught them before.
